Realistic scale model kit depicting the Chengdu J-10. This model kit featured a vague box title to the humour of western customers, the Chinese New Fighter model kit is a Chengdu J-10 Vigorous Dragon. The subject of the model kit, the J-10 was designed on the basis of the cancelled J-9 whilst using military schematics passed from Israel to China based on the cancelled Israeli Lavi fighter, partly based on the US F16. The J-10 is a multi-role combat aircraft in service with the PLAAF. It shares visual similarities with the Eurofighter Typhoon and Saab 37 Viggen.
