Description
T26E4 Super Pershing Scale Model assembly kit by HobbyBoss of China
Realistic scale model kit depicting the 1944 deployed T26E4 Super Pershing, an in-field experimental modification of the Pershing main battle tank. The T26E4 had front hull and front turret spaced armour sheets made from welded sheets taken from Panther tank wrecks as a desperate measure to improve the protection of the tank versus the Kwk 43 of the Tiger II. The sole T26E4 in existence was engaged in combat against opposing armour twice (once allegedly against a Tiger II or misidentified Panzer IV with in-field visual armour upgrades) before being scrapped after the war in the Kassel tank dump, Germany in 1945 where it was photographed and immortalized as a unique tank modification.
